4. Bill talking with Richard about testing of Rink Hockey Coaches. Don revised the forms two years ago, but those changes have not reflected how coaches are classified.

5. Men’s “A” WC, July 4th – 11th, Vigo/Pontevedra, Spain

    g. Daniel is working on arranging practices and practice games for the Team before the WC begins.

6. Ladies Copa America Tournament. Barb will hear something hopefully this week regarding the status. Argentina is supposed to be making a decision about hosting it by Saturday, June 20th.

    a. Coach, Pat Ferguson
    b. Assistant Coach, Toby Tagliapietra
    c. Manager, Tom Hughes

8. Pan American Games Qualifications have been at least postponed, if not cancelled, in Mexico because of the Swine Flu. Bill and Barb will keep everyone informed about the status of these Qualifications.

9. Winter issue of USARS Magazine: The Ladies’ and Men’s World Teams have a split cover with accompanying articles. It’s GREAT! Unfortunately, the USARS Membership List for Rink Hockey dated 5/13/09 listed only 144 names. This means that very few of our players and staff saw this issue, which is really sad. This was an important “first” for our sport.

10. Daniel V. would like the Committee’s feedback about (for both Ladies and Men):

    a. The possibility of holding a Training Camp in Spain or Argentina for players 14 – 17 years of age to enhance skill development and give them more exposure to international competition.
    b. Players 15 and older to explore opportunities to train in Europe or South America for maybe 4 – 6 weeks

11. Who should be featured on USARS Web site as our “Athlete of the Month” for July?

12. Next Conference Call: Saturday, August 15th or September 19th at 12:00 noon, EDT?

Barb Brooks
