Twitter Feed for 2009 Rink Hockey Nationals
Get your accounts and phones set up now. There is going to be a great feature available for people at this year’s Nationals, as well as for those that couldn’t make the trip.
This year’s Nationals will be tweeting on Twitter. The idea is that during each game, every time a goal is scored, a post will be made from the scorer’s table so that even if you aren’t at the rink, you will know the score of the current game. Then a post will be made to announce the final score and who is playing next.
For me, this is great because I will not be there, but always love to see scores of games. For those that are there, this will give you the chance to always know “where they are at” in the schedule. Additionally, if there are any scheduling changes, those can be posted too. No more surprises when you think you show up to the rink on time and then you find out you are on the floor in five minutes. I can’t express how awesome this ability is.
For those that have no idea what Twitter is, ask a kid on your Freshman or Junior team. They will know, but do it before you show up to Nationals because you will need to setup your Twitter account and setup you phone to receive the updates automatically via Text or Email.
