One step closer to being under the umbrella
Here is the head’s up: looks like we are taking the necessary steps to all being under the same umbrella worldwide. That step, of course, is to solidify a single name that represents our sport. It has been presented, and accepted, to USARS and now the change is starting to occur.
That change is this:
Hardball Roller Hockey – OUT
Rink Hockey – IN
I’m sure you have already noticed that this site has started the name change process. Not a ton of fun, but trying to catch all the areas that need the update.
Additionally, the USOC page for RollerSports has already changed the names too.
Luckily, I addressed this potential name change a year or two ago, and picked up USARinkHockey.com (RinkHockey.com was already taken by somebody who isn’t even hosting anything Rink Hockey related on the site – just a squatter). So, from now on, you get to say you play Rink Hockey, and direct people to www.USARinkHockey.com to get their fix. Not to worry though, if you, or anybody else tries to go to www.HardballRollerHockey.com, they will automatically be redirected. Additionally, my email address will change to pj@usarinkhockey.com (but I will still receive email to hardballrollerhockey.com too).
So, keep an eye out for more updates and graphic updates. Finalizing my new USA Rink Hockey logo, which will replace the USA HRH logo.
