Memorial Day In Merced Tournament – Change of plans!
Just wanted to let those out there in cyberland know that the tournament that we were hosting this Memorial Day weekend in Merced has been changed. It looks like economic struggles have fallen hard on many of the clubs out here in the West (I’m sure, much like others), so the participation and commitment level of clubs and teams were extremely low. For that reason, we have decided to scale back the tournament and make it a 1 day event (Sunday) and not focus so much on club teams, but just playing hockey and having fun. If you would like to participate, you are more than welcome to come. Here are the facts:
The day will be Sunday, May 25th.
The time will be 8:00am to 3:00pm.
Bring a white (or light colored shirt) and a black (or dark colored shirt).
Also bring $10. That is what it will cost you to play.
It’s a bummer that we had to do this because we had a lot of fun last year, but I didn’t feel like pulling out the rest of my hair (which isn’t that much) because come tournament time, I don’t have enough teams to play multiple games. A quick that’s to the club from Bremerton. I know money is short for everybody, but they still were will to make the journey if they had somebody to play against.
